This variety is traded at the highest price among all tencha varieties and ranks at the top of various tea competitions.
This variety was selected by Mr. Hirano of Uji Village, Uji District, and is an early-ripening variety with a short growing season, making it difficult to expand the cultivation area. You can enjoy the exquisite aroma that slowly spreads, with a vibrant jade-like green color and a deep, rich flavor that leaves an elegant aftertaste.
*This can also be used for thick tea. At a tea ceremony, which is a formal form of hospitality, the focus is on thick tea, and a meeting is set aside just for this one cup.
